In the field of aberration correctors for TEM, STEM and SEM we are the technology leader world wide. Our main focus is on research projects for our industrial and academic partners, the development of prototype instrumentation and the regular fabrication of our well-established products for various microscope manufacturers.
Job description:
In a group of engineers and physicists you will be responsible for performing the installation, the test and the factory alignment of advanced electron-optical components. In close cooperation with optics designers, electronics and mechanics engineers, and software developers you will test and evaluate new instruments and techniques, improve user documentation, and conduct training for field service and microscope users. You will take care of project schedules and production timing. If necessary you also will help at the customer sites with installation, failure analysis and technical service. Your training on the job will be supervised by CEOS' senior scientists.
Your profile:
The position requires a solid technical and physical background, good communication skills and a responsible and organized way of working. A sound mathematical education and good computer skills are necessary, ideally complemented by the ability to use scripting languages. Practical experience with either the transmission electron microscope, the scanning electron microscope or other charged particle optics equipment would be a great advantage. Technical know-how on vacuum recipients and electronic measurement equipment is desirable. A good command of the English language and the willingness to learn German are necessary.
